Silke is a consecrated, internationally recognized artist specializing in textile art. Born in Austria, she resides in Argentina, the country she represents, since 1949.
She creates large tapestry series. Her integral vision of the arts has led her to interdisciplinary performances, installations where stage design, theater, music and poetry are folded into the representations of her tapestries.

Her thematic cycles are: “Exteriority-Interiority”, “Letters to a Young Poet”, by Rilke, “Andean America”, “Spirituality”, “The 4 Elements”, “The Arcana in Silk”, “The Keys of Enoch”, “We are All One”, among others.


She has exhibited her works in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Australia, Russia, Finland, Poland, England, Germany, Austria, Portugal, and Spain, in more than 250 exhibitions. 

For over 40 years, she has taught workshops and seminars on creativity all over the world.

During her long artistic career she put special emphasis on INTERNATIONALIZING Argentine Textile Art.
